Letting the Music Do All the Talking

Watching a loved one struggle to find their words or withdraw from conversations can be difficult.

You want to see their spark back, not just manage their physical care.

At Fairview Senior Living in Hudson, NH, we believe true care supports the mind, body, and spirit. That is why we feature a full-time, Board-Certified Music Therapist to bring daily joy and clinical breakthrough to our residents.

Whether your loved one resides in Laurel Place Assisted Living, The Inn Memory Care, or our Rehabilitation neighborhood, this life-changing therapy is fully open to them.

Support through Harmony

& Melody.

What Sets Music
Therapy Apart?

Our therapy sessions are tailored around the personal histories, musical tastes, and physical abilities of our residents.

We set our approach apart by offering…

  • Full-Time On-Staff Therapist: Deep, trusted daily connections replace reliance on occasional performers.
  • Soothing Sundowning Support: Late afternoon acoustic sessions ease dementia-related anxiety & agitation.
  • Seamless Care Transitions: Therapy follows loved ones across all neighborhoods, offering a familiar face.
  • Intergenerational Joy: Directors Joy & Annalise partner with the therapist for vibrant events with local NH youth.

We combine therapeutic sessions with creative activities that nourish the soul and build deep friendships. These shared experiences allow our residents to express their faith and explore new talents.

Our therapist works closely with residents to design custom playlists featuring beloved songs from their youth and early adulthood.

This structured stimulation has proven highly effective in triggering positive emotional response, improving sustained focus, and encouraging spontaneous verbal communication.

We use active music-making, rhythmic exercises, and gentle instrument play to promote physical coordination, motor skills, and breath control.

These relaxing group and individual sessions serve as a natural, non-pharmacological way to manage daily anxiety, lift depression, and foster social connections.

Familiar hymns bring immense peace and comforting feelings.

Our music therapist partners with our spiritual team to provide live instrumentals for weekly Catholic Mass and non-denominational services.

Creativity thrives when senses combine.

We pair soothing acoustic guitar with painting classes, scratch-baking, and gardening to spark joy and laughter.
